Relational Therapy and Supervision

Brighton & Hove and online

I offer relational therapy and supervision for adults, parents, and therapists who want a thoughtful, grounded space to explore their experience in a way that supports clarity, autonomy, and everyday life.

My work is shaped by depth psychology, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and transpersonal perspectives, with close attention to nervous system capacity, meaning, and what is workable in everyday life. These approaches are held flexibly and responsively, rather than as a single framework.

People often come to this work when life feels overwhelming — when insight alone hasn’t helped, or when previous therapy has felt too pressurising. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of experience, and find ways of living that feel more inhabitable.

How I work

I understand distress as arising from the interaction between nervous systems, relationships, and the conditions of a person’s life, rather than as something located solely inside an individual.

My work is relational, context-aware, and attentive to nervous system capacity. I’m interested in depth that unfolds at a pace the nervous system can support — therapy that integrates with everyday life, rather than something that has to be endured. I pay close attention to limits, early signals of strain, and when something has done its work.

This way of working has been shaped through practice, supervision, and reflection, alongside an ongoing interest in meaning, imagination, and the conditions that make depth workable rather than overwhelming. Clarity, humour, and limits are part of how the work unfolds.

At times, experience may touch questions of meaning, identity, or belonging, or feel symbolic, imaginal, or transpersonal in nature. These aspects are recognised when they arise, but are never assumed or pursued at the expense of clarity or everyday needs.

I don’t assume that regulation is always possible or appropriate in the moment. When nervous systems are under strain, the work may involve containment, reducing demand, or simply not making things worse. Often, it is the absence of pressure to regulate that allows regulation to return.

Ways into the work

I work well with reflective adults, parents, and therapists who value clarity, thoughtfulness, and limits, and who are interested in a collaborative process that supports agency and choice.

People come to this work from different places. You might be here as a neurodivergent adult, a therapist in training, a supervisee interested in depth or transpersonal work, a parent navigating family life and difference, or someone integrating powerful or meaningful experiences.

These strands often overlap, and there’s no need to arrive with it all worked out. You can explore the different ways I work via the pages above, and we can take things at a pace that feels manageable.

This work may not suit you if you are primarily looking for quick techniques, strong direction, or a highly structured programme. If what you are looking for is therapy or supervision that is paced, relational, and supportive of everyday life, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
